Experience

Wang Siew Yong graduated from University of Malaya with an LLB (Hons) in 2006 and was called to the Malaysian Bar in May 2007.

 

Prior to joining the Firm as a Senior Associate in May 2014, she was practising in banking & finance, property & real estate, civil litigation and probates & wills in another firm of solicitors in Kuala Lumpur. Siew Yong was admitted as a partner of the Firm in January 2017.

 

She has wide and varied experience in general conveyancing and advisory work in real estate, banking and finance related matters, corporate and consumer loans, acquisition and divestment of properties, tenancies, and property joint ventures. She has acted and advised on various property-related transactions including sale and purchase transaction in respect of residential, commercial and retail properties involving individuals and corporations, both in housing projects and the secondary markets. She has also acted and advised on matters relating to tenancies, banking and finance matters including end financing for property development, financing for acquisition of properties and for other various purposes, involving both individuals and corporations, re-financing and restructuring of credit facilities.

 

Her portfolio also includes general commercial transactions and corporate advisory related matters including joint ventures, corporate exercises involving public listed companies listed on Bursa Malaysia and due diligence.

 

In addition, she has advised on probate and administration of estate matters which includes the drafting of wills, applications for Grant of Probate, Grants of Letters of Administration, resealing of foreign Grant of Probate and Grant of Letters of Administration and distribution of estates pertaining to movable and immovable assets and assisted in the applications for small estate distribution.
